Open Positions
This position is focused around the transportation and support of poultry crew(s) to / from their private residences and farm site locations. The transportation of the crew is done in a company owned passenger van. Absolute dependability and punctuality are critical in this position because if the crew arrives late at the job site there are significant and costly ramifications to the process.
- 2-3 days per week
- Approx 20-30 hours
- Laundered Uniforms Provided
- Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid drivers license.
- Prior poultry experience is preferred but not required.
This is a professional position that involves monitoring and maintaining the Risser’s Poultry fleet of tractor trailers, straight trucks, light duty trucks, and cars, and various related equipment needed during moving live poultry as well as maintaining the premises of the Risser’s Poultry shop and office facilities and properties. This position requires close interactions with drivers, suppliers, and occasionally customers and is a high visibility leadership position which is important to the Risser’s Poultry brand.
- Minimum of 5 years of verifiable truck mechanic experience
- Must have a minimum of 2 years supervisory experience
- Must be familiar with all State and Federal Rules and Regulations
- Class A CDL Required
The Truck Washer position is a part-time or full-time position at Risser’s Poultry and involves washing trucks, trailers, coops, and carts on an as needed basis. The position is responsible for all aspects involved with ensuring the equipment is washed and sanitized using power washers, sanitizing solutions and sprayers, automated cart conveyor system, etc.
- Must have a valid PA driver’s license or other reliable transportation to and from work considering a schedule that changes weekly.
- Agricultural related experience is preferred.
- Must have a demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
- Must be able to lift, push, and/or pull up to 100 lbs on a regular basis in performing the job duties
- Must be able to work safely in a fast paced wet/humid environment
